McKinley Garden Clean-up: Sunday, Sept. 9, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Volunteers are needed to help remove existing, non-native plants at McKinley School. Meet at the school at 14th and Castro streets.

The Mosque of Paris: A Forgotten Resistance: Tuesday, Sept. 11, 7 - 8:30 p.m. A documentary film by Derri Berkani. Dr. Annette Herskovits, who survived the Nazi holocaust as a child in France thanks to a clandestine rescue network, will present the film, tell her own story, and speak about the vital role played by Muslims from France’s colonies in the struggle against the Nazis. MUMC Sidewalk Sale: Saturday, Sept. 15, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Merchants along Castro, Market, Church and 18th streets will be selling their wares outside. Organized by the Merchants of Upper Market and Castro (MUMC).

Transgender Support Group: Saturday, Sept. 15, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Are you or your partner a transgender parent? Or thinking about becoming a parent? The Transgender Parent Support Group is an opportunity to connect with your peers and get mutual support. Drop-ins are welcome, but ongoing attendance helps to establish group rapport. Birders at Corona Heights Park: Friday, Sept. 21, 8 a.m. Explore Corona Heights Park and check out its avian inhabitants. Enjoy early morning views of the city and early fall migrants.
