Feb. 18, 5:25 p.m., Area of 2000 Market St. Robbery
Sgt. Kasper and Officers Richardson, Sanchez, Cathey, and Sands arrested the suspect for stealing a “bait” bicycle and then threatening to “dust” the officers.
Feb. 18, 3:20 p.m., Area of 18th and Church Streets. Aggravated Assault
Victim was beat up by an unknown suspect upon leaving school.
Feb. 16, 6 a.m., Area of 18th and Dolores Streets. Auto Burglary
Upon the victim’s return to his car, he found a window smashed and his property stolen.
Feb. 16, 12:57 a.m., Area of Castro and Market Streets. Driving Under the Influence
Officers Buckley & Banegas made a traffic enforcement stop and upon encountering the driver determined that he was impaired.
Feb. 13, 12:25 a.m., Area of 18th and Church Streets. Possession of Methamphetamine
Officers Cotter & Perdomo observed a traffic violation. Investigating further they learned that the offender had a warrantless search condition as a result of his methamphetamine conviction. Exercising that search condition they found the suspect to be in possession of methamphetamine.
Feb. 12, 11:24 p.m., Area of 14th and Market Streets. Possession of Heroin
Officers Sands & Cathey encountered a suspicious suspect skulking in an area of high drug sales. Investigating further, they found the suspect, who is on felony probation, to be in possession of a quantity of heroin.
Feb. 8, 1:50 a.m., Area of 400 Castro St. Aggravated Assault
The victim was punched and kicked by an unknown stranger.
Feb. 8, 11:32 p.m., Area of 100 Dolores St. Fugitive Apprehended
Officers Manrique & Chambers encountered a suspicious person who they discovered to be a fugitive from justice, with an active warrant out for his arrest for drug sales. Upon the officers discovering the warrant, the fugitive suddenly dashed off, with the officers in foot pursuit, ultimately capturing him.
Feb. 8, 2:10 a.m., Area of Church and Market Streets. Possession of Stolen Property
Sgt. Beazley, with the help of a citizen, captured a subject that had stolen a backpack from inside a restaurant and arrested the suspect.
Feb. 7, 10:54 p.m., Area of 1700 Market St. Possession of Stolen Property
Officers Cotter & Perdomo conducted an outstanding investigation, which resulted in the recovery of property from 34 different victims and the arrest of two parolees, both on parole for burglary.
Feb. 7, 10:50 p.m. Area of 100 Dolores St. Aggravated Assault
Officer Traw & Sergeant Lynch arrested the assailant that had punched a passer by in the nose, and then punched a paramedic in the nose.
Feb. 7, 2:50 a.m., Area of 2300 Market St. Strong Arm Robbery
While sitting on a bench with her purse hanging from her shoulder, the suspect grabbed her purse and fled with it. No arrests were made.
Feb. 7, 2:30 a.m., Area of 16th and Noe Streets. Aggravated Assault
While walking, the victim was shot with a BB gun.
Feb. 5, 4:19 p.m. Area of 14th and Dolores Streets. Poss. Crack Cocaine for Sale
Officers Richardson and Sanchez were conducting a narcotics investigation. With the assistance of Officers Cota & Degand they arrested two drug dealers in the possession of a large quantity of crack cocaine possessed for the purpose of sale.
Feb. 1, 2:43 p.m., Area of Church and Market Streets. Strong Arm Robbery
The victim was at a bus stop with her iPhone in her hand when the suspect grabbed it and ran away.
Jan. 31, 11 a.m., Area of 400 Castro St. Aggressive Begging
Off. Joshua observed an aggressive beggar and immediately arrested him.
Jan. 29, 5:30 p.m., Area of 1600 Market St. Theft
Victim was sitting at a restaurant with her laptop on her table when a suspect stole it and fled.
