June 29, 9:45 p.m., Market and Castro streets, Strong-Arm Robbery and Aggravated Assault – Juvenile Arrest
The victim was walking home up 17th Street eating a slice of pizza after the Pink Saturday celebrations. As he passed a group of youths that were hanging around, a female suspect asked him if he had any “weed.” The victim ignored the comment and continued walking.

A moment later someone grabbed him from behind and wrestled him to the ground. He could feel the culprit reaching into his pockets. The suspect asked where his money was or else he would be shot. The victim managed to get away and luckily a number of police officers were on hand for the festivities in the Castro. A short foot chase ensued but officers grabbed the seventeen year-old responsible.

June 23, 700 Block of Douglass Street, Burglary
Three suspects entered a dry cleaning business. While the victim assisted one of the suspects, the other two stole the victim’s handbag and its contents before fleeing the scene.

June 4, 11:27 p.m, 16th at Valencia streets, Attempted Robbery With a Knife
The police received a call reporting a man with a knife. Upon arrival, the officers located the suspect, still holding the knife, and asked him to drop it. In response, the man threw the knife at an officer, who stepped out of the way and was not injured. The suspect was then arrested. Witnesses said the incident began as an attempted robbery by the suspect.

June 16, 500 Block of Castro Street, Burglary
The suspects made their way in through a rear window and stole some cash, two bottles of alcohol and a ceramic pot. No arrests have been made.

June 17, 500 Block of Castro Street, Burglary
There was evidence of forced entry through a rear window, but it was unknown if anything was stolen. No arrests have been made.

June 17, 100 Block of Fair Oaks Street, Burglary
The suspects made their way in through an unlocked back door and stole cash and jewelry, among other personal items No arrests have been made.

June 17, 500 Block of Church Street, Vehicle Burglary
The police received a call regarding an auto break-in. The victim said his car had been broken into through the right side window and some clothing and a satellite radio were stolen. No arrests have been made.

June 17, 3800 Block of 18th Street, Narcotics Related Arrest
While performing a body search on a suspect detained for trespassing, officers found illegal narcotics and paraphernalia and placed the suspect under arrest.

June 18, 2200 Block of Market Street, Burglary
The police arrived at a retail clothing store in response to a call reporting a break-in. There was evidence of forced entry through the front door and a cash register containing cash was stolen. No arrests have been made.

June 19, 300 Block of 16th Street, Commercial Robbery & Assault
The police arrested two suspects, who first attempted to steal produce, then fled the scene before returning to assault the victim.

June 30, 1:15 p.m., Robbery with a Gun-Simulated, McAllister at Central Street
A young woman who runs her own business close to where she lives was walking on the street holding a laptop bag when she passed two males suspects. She felt a tugging on her shoulder and fell to the ground as one of the suspects grabbed her bag.

After struggling briefly for control, one of the suspects held out his arm with a sweatshirt covering his hand as though he had a gun.

She gave up the bag and the suspects ran off.
